Nicole Karras is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is a lifelong student who has pursued training and education from a variety of sources over the last 20 years. Nicole graduated from the University of Natural Medicine in 2000 with a Bachelors of Natural Health Sciences. Soon after graduating she participated in a mobile health unit trekking through the Gorka district in the Ganash mountain ranges of Nepal. It was during this life-changing experience when she worked beside a Massage therapist and chiropractor that she realized she wanted to work with people providing safe, trusting and sacred touch. Nicole graduated from the Schere Institute of Natural Healing in 2001 with a Diploma in Massage Therapy. She graduated from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in 2006 and recently completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training through Samyoga Institute. Nicole’s emphasis, her life long journey, is support of women’s health care through massage therapy.

Nicole studied ancient healing practices with Dr Rosita Arvigo and became a Mayan Abdominal practitioner while living in the country of Belize in Central America in 2004.  Nicole has studied with different healers and teachers from different modalities along the way including: Dr Jennifer Mercier (reproductive Health and Fertility massage); Caryn Diel (Chi Nei Tsang, Visceral Manipulation); Charles Wiltsie, who created Lypossage (lymphatic and cellulite massage); Tom and Donna Cochran (Sacred Lomi);  The Upledger Institute (Cranial Sacral Therapy); Barefoot Masters( Ashiatsu); and Lisa Kelly ( Pelvic Hydrotherapy). Nicole also offers Pregnancy Massage, Nurturing Healing touch, Deep Tissue massage, Detox body wraps, Reiki Drumming, and Sound healing.

In addition, Nicole provides Bio dynamic pelvic hydrotherapy (steaming), which is an herbal hydrotherapy treatment for women’s wellness that utilizes steam therapy to maintain pelvic homeostasis. She has been hosting steams for over 15 years.

Nicole’s bodywork utilizes techniques that assist the body’s own healing ability. Both women and men can benefit from these ancient and modern techniques that integrate holistic approaches to health and well being. Within a massage therapy session many different modalities may be incorporated.
